Shelly Lee is a Christian Inspirational Author. Lee is a single parent of 2: daughter 26 and son 24. She grew up in a small town called Bon Wier, TX. She holds an associate degree from Lamar Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree. Lee has been employed with Lamar University for 14 years as an Administrative Associate.
Shelly Lee enjoys reading, writing, and helping others. She is the author of 2 books: God Spoke and I Listened and The Sheldra Series-An Unknown Love-Book One. Lee is currently working on her 3rd and 4th book.

God Spoke and I Listened talks about the trials I had in relationships, family, love, and finances. God spoke a Word and told me how to overcome what I was going through.
LM: Tell me a little about you.
SL: Shy, quiet, observant. Enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with family
LM: What was the inspiration for the story?
SL: Remembering how God spoke to me for the very first time.
LM: Why did you choose this title?
SL: When God speaks to us, we are supposed to listen and follow His instructions
LM: What did you learn while writing the book?
SL: I learned that God delivered me from every one of my trials. I learned that God has a Word for anything that is going on in your life.
LM: What’s your favorite part or chapter of the book? Why?
SL: Chapter 2. God lets me know that there are times when I cannot do it alone. I will need help on this journey.
LM: What were some challenges you experienced while writing this book?
SL: Pursuing my bachelor’s degree. I preferred to work on my book instead of doing my college homework.
LM: What is the most surprising thing you discovered while writing your book?
SL: I have discovered that God truly has His Hand on me. No matter what I encounter He is always there. I just need to be silent and let Him speak.
LM: What do you like to do when you are not writing?
SL: Read Christian books, watch cooking shows, and relax with family
LM: What advice would you tell someone who aspires to write or be an author?
SL: 1. Without God, it cannot be done.
2. Everyone will not support you.
3. If God brought you to it, He will bring you through it. Don’t quit!
