Teresa Satchell is a wife, mother of two, leader and entrepreneur of several businesses; Visionary Founder of Kingdom Legacy Partnerships, LLC, CEO of My Husband Loves Me and Genuine Kreations. She is naturally gifted in leadership in which she trains and equips other women to rise to their fullest potential. Teresa acts as a visionary to other women by helping them to think bigger about themselves and their businesses. She is also able to bring to the surface hidden gifts and talents that women have not tapped into yet.
When assisting other entrepreneurs/small business owners, her services focus on Planning, Organizing, and Developing Strategies for business. She is passionate about making sure entrepreneurs are equipped with resources and strategies that will positively impact, shift and cause their businesses to excel. Along with her managing her businesses, Teresa is a Certified Instructor of Praize Kraze,® a Christ-centered group fitness program that combines aerobics, toning and cardio and President of a local colony of Delta Psi Epsilon Christian Sorority, Inc. Teresa is a firm believer in balancing God, work, family, fitness, and life through the lens of encouragement found in Galatians 6:9: “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
TS: We are a conglomerate of businesses from different industries that educate, equip, and lead small business owners at every stage and in every area of their business in order to thrive and operate at their full potential. We provide a quality of service that is innovative, beyond textbook knowledge, and uniquely tailored to the entrepreneur and their business. LM: What prompted you to start your business?
TS: I didn’t want entrepreneurs to feel alone on the journey of entrepreneurship. Starting a business and then trying to build it can be lonely. I had to find resources and answers to questions/problems by myself. I realized that even when I was provided resources, sometimes I didn’t know how to use them or where to start. At times it was hard to stay motivated and other times I was frustrated. When I needed certain services for my business I had to go to different businesses in order to get service met. I wished everything I needed was in one place.
LM: Have you always aspired to be an entrepreneur?
TS: No, not until my life took a turn in college. I left the traditional college setting and completed my online degree while working a full-time job. Not attending a traditional college helped me to get to know more about who I was and what I was capable of and I was able to spend more time with ME. I think we are all given a path we are supposed to take based on our environment and how we are raised and sometimes that path is just not for you. That was my case.
LM: What’s the best part of being an entrepreneur?
TS: The power that comes with me determining my schedule and how much I will make, and the ability to see more and more how creative and intelligent I am as I use all my gifts in what I do.
LM: What’s the worst part of being an entrepreneur?
TS: It gets lonely on the journey and can require a lot of self-motivation at times.
LM: Who’s your inspiration? Why?
TS: My family inspires me because I always think of the life I want for them, the places I want to see them go, the things I want to see them do, and the legacy I will leave them.
LM: List some of your greatest achievements
TS: 1. Starting and building two businesses and a ministry in two years. 2. Having the ability and money to hire others.
LM: Name a time when things didn’t go right. What happened and how did you get past it?
TS: I do Facebook live interviews with other entrepreneurs and one day the Facebook live went horrible. Me and the entrepreneur got on video and there was an echo when we spoke but I didn’t think it was that bad. That was until after we did the whole interview and I went back and listened to it. I could be heard but I sounded like a robot and my words were not clear. That is what the viewers heard. I deleted the video and asked the entrepreneur to join me on Zoom and we redid the interview. Now I have a tech check with any guest the day before to see if there is an echo so we will act appropriately ahead of time.
LM: Where do you see your business in 3 years?
TS: Kingdom Legacy Partnerships, LLC will have a conglomerate of successful kingdom-minded business owners from every industry in place that can provide services, workshops, and programs to business clients regardless of what stage of business the client is in or what area of their business needs attention. We will be able to help an entrepreneur with all their business needs in one place. A second location of Kingdom Legacy Partnerships, LLC will form in another state.
LM: What advice would you give a new entrepreneur?
TS: Write down things you can do to stay motivated and do it consistently.
