Renata styles women; from the professional, that needs to define her style, to the everyday woman that enjoys displaying who she is through fashion. She enjoys fashion and how it makes women feel. That’s why she is my stylist. She has over 10 years of experience in fashion and styling. Creating the style room has enabled her to provide personal styling of women one on one. She’s proud to be able to speak with ladies and get a feel of what works for them and pushing them to step out of the box. Her strengths are making a client feel completely comfortable with the look that she’s put together.
When not styling ladies, she loves to spend time with her daughter and family, and her other passion, providing nail services via her other business, Dot’s Natural Nail Spot. She also enjoys traveling, reading and a good meal with friends.
Tell us about yourself and your business.
Well, I have a couple of things that I am terribly passionate about, one is fashion and making women feel powerful while bringing out their confidence and showcasing who they are via style. My business, RW Couture, allows me to do just that. I decided to call it a style room, because I wanted to make shopping an experience….not just a regular boutique where you go to shop, I offer personal, one on one styling and shopping when you come into the style room. We also have an online presence that we are currently working to increase and become a major player in the fashion market.
What inspired you to start your boutique?
I have always LOVED fashion. From the time that I was a child, clothes have allowed me to express who I am. I started my fashion business because I found that I was spending too much money on clothing and shoes, and I wanted to be able to see my money, not just wear it, and because I was always styling my sisters and friends.
What’s your most proud moment?
My proudest moment was deciding to re-open my business after the loss of my mother. I was completely devastated and closed my business, but I realized after a while that she would not have wanted me to give up. I revamped and rebranded and came back. Many of my proudest moments are not public, I enjoy helping the community and women in need behind the scenes. It is extremely important for me to give back and help my people.
What’s next for you?
I want to move more towards styling more. I want to be able to grow with my clients, as they expand their personal platforms, I want to be their stylist of choice. I also have several other business ventures that I am currently pursuing, a Nail Salon and wellness business. I believe in multiple streams of income.
