Being a Mompreneur is no easy task. Running a family is a full-time job but to also run a business may seem overwhelming. It doesn’t have to be if you have a plan and follow it. Here are a few tips to help you.
Know Who’s Really the Boss
If you have a family, please know they are the real bosses of the business. How sway? Well, most of your decisions will be based on their needs, wants, and schedules. One of the main reasons you want to be an entrepreneur is to have the freedom to work when you want and to spend time with your family. You will have to base meetings and appointments around your family duties. Don’t enter into mompreneurship thinking you’re running things. You may be the CEO but you have a board of directors to report to!
Use Your Time Wisely
If you think being a mompreneur will give you more time you sadly mistaken. Remember you’re the CEO of your own company however you have to be very strategic and intentional with your time. I suggest starting your day the night before by writing a to-do list for things you have to get done the next day including any family commitments. Have timelines for all projects and adhere to that schedule. Be sure to include self-care time when making your schedule.
Pace Yourself
When you decide to step into mompreneurship, don’t rush yourself to be at any particular level right off away. Pace yourself and set reasonable precedents for your business. Don’t think you have to be super mompreneur in 3 months or even 6 months. You decide how fast or slow you go in your business.
Be Focused and Consistent
In order to be successful, you must stay focused and consistent. That takes discipline. You must set your intentions daily and do what you say you will. You have to do things that will drive your business forward. It’s easy to get distracted but you must focus on the tasks at hand and execute them to the fullest.

My greatest area of weakness in business is pacing myself. I start working on something and feel as if I must complete it now and it has to be perfect. I am not currently a Mompreneur, just an entrepreneur freelance writer, but I think your tips are equally important to entrepreneurs as well. Great tips and reminders.
I find myself still doing that. When I feel the pressure then I realize I need to slow down and pace myself. Thanks for reading
Love these tips…and you’re absolutely right about who the ‘bosses’ are. Thanks.

The pace yourself point is so true. This is something that I plan to put into practice for the coming year.

These are great tips. Moms are doing so much these days that they do not have time to slow down and think for a minute. These basic tips are a great reminder.

Thanks so much for reading.
I love how simple you kept this! You’re so right running a family is a full-time job and then add a business – just the thought is overwhelming. I am living proof and it sounds like you are too! I appreciate the simplicity of what you pointed out & I feel way more confident that I was overcomplicating it!
You got this sis!!! Find your own groove and I’m sure it’ll be even easier.
Being focused and consistent is my biggest struggle. I am a stay-at-home mom of two, so it’s very difficult to put the time towards my blog that I’d like to. I know I need to just make the time and it is something I am working on.
You’ll get to it. It’s difficult at first but you’ll find your own routine that will work for you. Thanks for reading.
