Do It Afraid

When God gives you something to do, you must not allow intimidation and fear to break you. Recognize it and keep going even if you’re afraid. Realize that you are graced to accomplish God’s will and purpose for your life. Take a stand and boldly declare who you are in Christ. I sometimes have to remind myself who I am in Christ and that with His power I can do all things.

Fear can and will hold us back from doing anything that we may be called to do. Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.” You must stand on this verse every time fear creeps its ugly head into your life. Don’t allow the devil to plant seeds of doubt in your mind. You know what God called you to do. So do it afraid!!

Let me tell you what the most beautiful part of doing it afraid is. When you decide to obey God, to not let fear overcome you and step out in faith, your life will change for the better. God’s presence will go before you clearing the way for you and all you have to do is follow it. The fire and passion that has been put in you will come forth and everyone will be able to see it. It will be as if you’re a different person. You’ll feel different and that feeling will be contagious. You never know who you may inspire!

It’s time to rise up and kick fear in the face! Let go of the things that hold you captive whether it be fear, intimidation, self-worth or past sins. Don’t allow those things to keep you from your dreams or God’s promises. God will do what He said. His word tells us so. Will you do what you are called to do? Will you step out on faith? Once you do, you won’t regret it.
