Charlee King

Words cannot express how proud of Charlee I am. She is an amazing mom and friend. Charlee and I met when she hired me to plan her Big Hat Brunch then her kid’s fashion show. We’ve been thick as thieves since then. She is always supportive of me and I love her for it.

Who is Charlee?
Charlee King is a mother, student, entrepreneur, and free spirit.

What inspired you to start making your treats and write a book?
I wrote my book and started making my treats based on my own experiences with being a new mom. I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t have a mother of my own to ask certain questions too. I also struggled with milk production and finding a solution to help me was daunting. I know I’m not the first mother to feel this way but I wanted to make sure I could help someone not go through what I went through.

What’s one piece of advice you would give a new entrepreneur?
Be CONFIDENT!! The worst product can be a top-selling item just by the way it’s presented. You have to be so in tune with yourself and the product to really bring it to life. This will also help with thickening up your skin for some possible “no’s” entrepreneurs get when starting a business.

Where do you see yourself in 2 yrs? 5 yrs?
In 2 years I see myself married, opening up my own lactation center, on tour promoting my book across the country, speaking at varies organizations and media outlets.
In five years I will have my doctorate, released my second New York Times best-selling book, and have designed 20  “Mothers Room” at various universities and Fortune 500 companies.
