Wife, mother, author and serial entrepreneur are just a few hats that Beverly wears. She’s written several books and is the founder of No More Silence, a group whose cause is to help victims speak out about domestic violence. Here’s our chat

LM: Hello Beverly! Start by telling us a little about yourself.
BV: I am an Author, Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur, and the founder of No More Silence Domestic Violence Movement.

LM: Tell us about some of the work ventures you’ve done.
BV: I’ve partnered with my local Sheriff’s Dept and domestic violence victims shelter, Safe Harbor to bring awareness and provide information to our community about domestic violence and the laws.

LM: That’s awesome!!!
What prompted you to start your own business?
BV: Starting my own business has always been a dream of mine.

LM: What’s your favorite part of being an entrepreneur?
BV: Earning extra money.

LM: I know that’s right sis. Me too. What’s your least favorite?
BV: Having to explain to friends and family why I won’t give them a discount.

LM: Girl…. yes indeed!!! Don’t get me started.
Tell me about your family.
BV: Husband of 19 years, Son 27, Daughter 26, Daughter 22, Granddaughter 8, Granddaughter 4, GrandDog, 2

LM: What’s the best part of being a mom?
BV: Watching my kids grown into the amazing adults they are.

LM: Wife?
BV: Having a partner that supports me.

LM: I love that sis. Family is amazing.
What prompted you to start writing and become an author?
BV: I’ve been writing since I was a child. I love to write. It’s like a go into another world. Writing is so freeing to me!

LM: How many books have you written?
BV: Four and working on number five now.

LM: Omg!! That’s great!!!
What’s your favorite genre to read?
BV: Romance
LM: Write?
BV: Inspirational Romance

LM: I love true crime and fiction.
Have you done any collaborations with other authors?
BV: No

LM: What other business ventures are you involved in?
BV: I own Clash Beauty Brand where I sell Mink eyelashes, glue, t-shirts, cosmetic bags, and mascara.

LM: That’s so cool. Let’s switch gears.
You’ve been on TMZ several times. TMZ!!! How fun is that?
BV: I LOVE doing TMZ Live. It’s a lot of fun!

LM: How did you get involved with the show?
BV: A friend of mine that lives in Atlanta referred me.

LM: That’s awesome.
What’s your latest book?
BV: My latest published book is To Love You Again.
LM: Share a little about it with us.
BV: It’s about love and domestic violence.

LM: Now let’s get a little personal.
What’s a typical day for you?

BV: Up at 6 am, process orders, check emails, update social media, work at 9 am, home by 6:30 pm, dinner with hubby, a little tv as he and I catch up, check emails, social media, and process orders if I have any, then write until bedtime around 11:30 PM.

LM: Oh wow!!! You have full days!
What do you do for fun?
BV: Dinner and drinks with hubby, our friends, or my girlfriends

LM: What does family time look like and how often do you have that time?
BV: Family time is typically every weekend. I try to get everyone together at least one day a week if possible.

LM: Self-care is important especially if you wear many hats. What do you do for self-care?
BV: I make sure I rest when I need to rest. I take hot baths, listen to music, and let my mind slow down for a while. And I drink LOTS of water.

LM: What’s next for you?
BV: My new book The Final Broken Piece will launch in May, I’m adding new items to Clash Beauty Brand, and I’m hosting the 2nd Annual No More Silence Domestic Violence Brunch in October.
