Hey, y’all hey!!

I created this blog to help others navigate the journey of true self love. There are so many people silently suffering from depression and anxiety while juggling their life responsibilities who need to know they are not alone. In this blog I speak a lot about my personal experiences while also interviewing and sharing resources from others in the space and everyday people just like you.

The “blank” blog initially started as my journal entries. A few years ago, I went through a divorce that caused me to lose everything! I was homeless, depressed and suicidal. I seriously made plans to kill myself. I remember thinking to myself that there was no way out. But God had other plans for my life. My Pastor gave me a book written by Max Lucado that literally saved my life! I opened the book to the first page and this is what I saw.

You’ll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Turbulent Times

You’ll get through this.

It won’t be painless.

It won’t be quick.

But God will use this mess for good.

Don’t be foolish or naive.

But don’t despair either.

With God’s help, you’ll get through this.

That one page gave me hope and I knew I had to keep fighting. God showed me in the moment that if I trusted Him and only Him, He would get me through this! My faith was renewed and I knew that my life would be restored. With God’s help, I was able to regain my life back and restore my business.

In the Fall of 2018, I decided to launch my blog. I had been journaling for a while and decided to share some of those stories. My blog was a great place to share my views on certain topics and issues. Now, I want it to be a resource for others covering a wide range of topics from business and entrepreneur life to personal and faith based topics. I’m very passionate about mompreneurs and women in business but also about sharing my faith in God.

I’m also passionate about events and now with COVID I’m on a mission to increase the awareness of virtual events and how effective they can be for your brand. The LM Experience specializes in event planning and management as well as offering strategic plans to entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations around brand exposure and growth through the creation of curated virtual experiences that drive real returns in revenue.

I am known as the “Olivia Pope of Virtual Events” because I truly understand the virtual event space and how to seamlessly help clients stay relevant in an ever-changing digital world. My superpower is creating stunning, refreshing and fun virtual experiences that specialize in engaging audiences and making my clients’ branding events not only a success, but memorable for years to come.

I have produced many events including Koereyelle’s “Werk, Pray, Slay Conference” and “The Digital Werk-A-Thon“ as well as The LME’s “My Mind is My Business Mental Wellness Summit”, and other national conventions, regional conferences and weddings.

In 2020, amid the worst devastation this world has ever seen called COVID, I retired myself as a grocery retail manager for a local grocery chain and became a full-time entrepreneur. That was a huge leap of faith and something I totally had to depend on God for. It has been one of the toughest things I’ve ever done but so worth it!
