There is something about having a spiritual covering. It’s like a breath of fresh air. I had been without a spiritual covering for a long time and didn’t realize it. When I begin to pray dangerously, I mentioned this to a pastor friend who wasn’t happy l shared that. I guess he felt attacked saying how could I say that and recalling all that has been done for me. To that person, the things done meant I was covered. If that was true, I don’t know why I still felt lost. I reached out to Pastor @robhfl to share how I felt lost and that I didn’t have a covering. Without hesitation, he invited me to be a member, making time to discuss membership and what it entails. I’m grateful to have a spiritual covering and to have a church home where I can share my time, talent and treasure faithfully. If you don’t have a covering and you feel lost, I urge you to find one. Pray and ask God to direct you to the right one.

Quiet my soul oh God! Help me stay steadfast in the pursuit of You and all You have for me to do. Break my heart! That’s been my prayer lately and oh boy has He been doing it! Ever experience heartbreak? Not just from a relationship but your heart just breaks for the things and circumstances around you. You feel so uncomfortable in your soul. Ugh!!! What’s a feeling and that’s why I pray for God to quiet my soul and keep me steadfast in Him. I’m quite uncomfortable since I dared God to break my heart and to make me bold. I told Him to search me and send me. But with that comes some pain. Man is it painful but it has purpose. I’d rather be in pain for a purpose than to exist without one. Comfort has never moved me to action! God’s greatest blessings are some times on the other side of our greatest pain. Don’t miss that! It’s a new day!!! I feel a shift in the atmosphere already. Looking forward to better days with this new administration. History was made yesterday. Oldest President elected. First Black South Asian woman Vice President. What an honor and I’m blessed to have witnessed it. There are already naysayers and those with their hands out asking for reparations and such but haven’t made a way for themselves. 🙄 No one owes you anything. We saw right before our very eyes how both of our leaders fought hard to get where they are. Now I don’t agree with everything that they’ve done in their careers however I know that I’ve had to make some tough calls in my career that didn’t benefit someone. We all have and when you have a position that is governed by rules, laws and regulations you follow them or risk not having a job. Some of you work to benefit yourself and haven’t done anything for anyone but I digress. Y’all irritate me! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’m still basking in all the good that was restored on yesterday. Now it’s time to hold them accountable for every promise made. With time and hard work, I’m confident that it will all work out.
